What is the Tear Trough?
The tear trough, also known as the tear groove, runs beneath the lower lash line and extends from the inner corner of the eye outward towards the outer eyelid edge. As we age, we lose volume in this area, which often leads to a tired and sunken appearance. A bluish discoloration often occurs, further affecting the overall look.
The Solution: Hyaluronic Acid
To compensate for volume loss in the tear trough, we offer a gentle injection with hyaluronic acid. It is crucial that the injection is precise and administered in very small amounts to achieve a natural result. Accurate anatomical knowledge is essential in this area.
What are Dark Circles and Puffy Eyes?
Various issues can arise under the eyes, necessitating different treatments:
Dark Circles: In cases of volume loss due to aging, hyaluronic acid is the right choice. It fills the lost space and promotes a more alert appearance.
Bluish Discoloration: If the problem is a bluish skin discoloration caused by the thin skin under the eye, hyaluronic acid may not be effective. Here, PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) or mesotherapy with specialized, lightweight formulations are better options.
